The traditional colonial style is apparent when you walk in the door. The large foyer, with lovely staircase and arched entryways to the living and dining rooms, is charming. Additions in 2006-7 added more functional space: a family room with vaulted ceilings, a full ADA compliant bath on the first floor, a four-season sunporch, an expanded kitchen with skylights, a fabulous, big mudroom, and a large primary bath with treetop views.<\/p>\n

Q. Please describe any notable renovations or upgrades.<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

A wonderful update by Wright Street Design includes a new kitchen and a full bath on the first floor. The bath is next to the family room where a neat sliding door can be closed to enable the space to be used as a bedroom, if needed. Upstairs, a primary bath was added with marble floors, soaker tub, and large shower. The exposed brick chimney in the bath is fun.<\/p>\n

The Copley family lived here for many years. Mrs. Copley was a beloved teacher at Tappan Middle School into the 1970’s. Here is a photo of the house in 1929.<\/p>\n
